Abstract

This study aims to examine how the confidence of Sunday School teachers can be built and improved in conveying God's Word, as well as analyzing its implications for the implementation of Christian Religious Education in the local church environment, especially in Runggun Pancur Batu. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and field study methods through interviews, observations, and documentation, this study explores factors that support or inhibit teacher confidence, including aspects of personal spirituality, material mastery, pastoral support, and teaching training. The results show that Sunday School teachers who have high confidence tend to convey God's Word more clearly, enthusiastically, and have an impact on children's faith growth. Consistent pastoral mentoring, theological coaching, and a supportive ministry community have proven effective in building that confidence. This research confirms that strengthening teacher confidence is an integral part of the development of contextual and transformative Christian Religious Education, because confident teachers are an effective channel in instilling Christian values to the younger generation.
