Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of plyometric training on improving leg muscle power in volleyball athletes. Plyometric training is known as an effective method to develop explosive strength, which is essential for jumping and spiking movements in volleyball. The research employed an experimental method with pre-test and post-test design to measure the power of the lower limbs before and after the training intervention. Results indicate that plyometric training significantly improves leg muscle power, as reflected in the athletes’ performance in vertical jump tests. These findings suggest that plyometric exercises can be effectively integrated into volleyball training programs to enhance players’ physical condition, particularly in improving explosive movements required during the game.
