Indexing of SCHOLARALEX Journals
At SCHOLARALEX, we continuously strive to expand the presence of our journals in leading academic databases, including:
-
Scopus
-
Web of Science
-
PMC, PubMed, and MEDLINE
In addition to general indexing, we prioritize inclusion in discipline-specific databases to enhance author visibility and broaden dissemination. We also collaborate with universities and government bodies to ensure our journals are listed in national ranking systems, meeting institutional and funding requirements.
All SCHOLARALEX journals are digitally archived in full by the Swiss National Library and CLOCKSS, securing long-term access to our published content.
Open Access for All Readers
All content in SCHOLARALEX journals is published under full open access, available to readers free of charge. To support this model, publication costs are covered through article processing charges (APCs), typically funded by the authors' institutions or grants. [Read more about our open access policy.]
Publication Ethics Statement
As a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), SCHOLARALEX maintains strict ethical standards and a rigorous peer-review process. We uphold integrity by addressing issues such as plagiarism, data manipulation, and authorship misrepresentation with zero tolerance. Submissions are screened using iThenticate to verify originality and prevent overlap with prior publications.
Memberships and Collaborations
SCHOLARALEX is affiliated with or collaborates with several academic and industry organizations to uphold best practices in publishing.
SCHOLARALEX and Sustainability
Sustainability is a foundational value at SCHOLARALEX, beginning with the preservation of rare chemical samples in 1996, which led to the launch of its first journal, Molecules. As a global publisher, SCHOLARALEX is committed to responsible practices aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the UN.
In 2020, the SDG Publishers Compact was introduced to encourage informative content that supports these goals. SCHOLARALEX became a signatory in 2021 and subsequently launched the SCHOLARALEX SDG Hub. Our dedication extends to hosting sustainability conferences such as the World Sustainability Forum (WSF) and providing awards:
-
World Sustainability Award – USD 100,000 for senior researchers
-
Emerging Sustainability Leader Award – USD 20,000 for early-career researchers
We are also a member of the United Nations Global Compact, promoting sustainability in human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.
