This research addresses the critical need to improve operational efficiency in the manufacturing sector, particularly in Indonesia, where inefficiencies have led to a 2.3% decline in productivity by 2023. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of lean manufacturing practices and its impact on production efficiency. Using a mixed-methods approach, data was collected from 110 medium and large-scale manufacturing companies in the Medan area through surveys and interviews. The findings show that lean manufacturing can increase production efficiency by 33.9% and significantly reduce lead time. Key lean tools such as 5S and Value Stream Mapping proved effective in minimizing waste and improving overall operational performance. This research concludes that a comprehensive framework for lean implementation is essential to achieve continuous improvement in manufacturing efficiency. Practical recommendations are provided for industry stakeholders to systematically adopt lean principles, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
